Port to see higher container traffic - Thursday, July 08, 2010
A CONTAINER ship and a Cruiseliner simultaneously made their maiden voyage to Muara Port yesterday.
Present to welcome the two vessels was Hj Bujang Hj Tinkong, acting director of the Ports Department.
The first ship, MV Guang Ping, is a 629-TEU (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units) container vessel measuring 110.08 metres, carrying a gross tonnage of 5,275 which will be deployed on a 10-day loop covering Port Klang (Malaysia), Singapore, Pasir Gudang (Malaysia), Muara (Brunei Darussalam), Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia) and back to Port Klang.
